Baby it’s definitely not cold outside…
Now I understand, that LA weather is a heck of a lot warmer than the rest of the country, but let’s be clear, 80+ degrees in the winter is definitely not typical. Winter in LA is usually 60’s during the day, 40-50’s at night. This year we’ve only had maybe a handful of days that it’s been that cold. It’s funny because I moved here to get away from Boston’s harsh, 9 month long winters, but during the holiday’s I almost miss them. (For a brief minute then I come to my senses!) The point being, I understand this outfit is a bit of a stretch for winter time, but here in LA it works.
This top is by Harlyn and I got it at a recent sample sale (total score!) It’s part of a short suit that I saw Cat Sadler wearing on instagram awhile back that I had been lusting over. I finally made it mine and I can’t wait to wear the whole ensemble come the spring. In the meantime, I paired it with this great white ruffle skirt that is a thicker, almost brocade like material and has a floral pattern woven into it. It’s a bit short, but I really like it so I am just be conscious not to bend over! (Ha!)
It’s Monday of this bright new year, and I kicked the week off by watching The Secret last night. It’s always good to give ourselves a little reminder that we truly are in control of our future. I have one more week off from school and I intend to be productive, positive and get seriously organized.

And I used to think it was hot in Mexico, I mean hot for winter, but not in a million years would I dream of wearing something like this in January! I adore this look to pieces, is so perfectly put together! Love it!
