I’m finally finished with my vanity makeover and I am super excited to share it with you guys!
If you follow me on snapchat you may have seen bits and pieces of the process but I now have a complete video of the makeover and a full tour.
I had a vision of what I wanted my vanity to be but it was very tough to find, because the amount of makeup I have is quite a bit more that the average person. They really don’t sell vanities that come equipped with that amount of storage. I searched on all the major home decor sites and nothing was big enough.
It is because of this reason, lots of You Tubers and Beauty bloggers opt for the Ikea Alex Drawers but as much as I loved the amount of storage, I really wanted something different. I was focused on glamour and sophistication and even toyed with the idea of having something built. Custom built furniture was way beyond my budget however, so I went to Ikea to see if there were any other solutions.
What I found sparked an idea that was in line with the vision and inspiration photo you will see in the video. My vanity was inspired by Chelsea Handler’s vanity from when she was on E! It is my own take on it using Ikea pieces and a few things from Amazon and I couldn’t be happier with the result!
