Un – Coachella, Coachella Outfit

Coachella

Coachella officially begins this weekend and everyone is beginning the exodus into the desert for a weekend of fun. Most people I know are over the moon with excitement and anticipation. I have never been to Coachella, so I really have no frame of reference, but I am not over the moon. At all. In fact, I am somewhat dreading it. I am hoping it turns out to be more fun than I know what to do with, like seriously one for the books, cross it off my bucket list kind of fun. But in my mind I envision massive crowds (cringe) people being beyond wasted (double cringe) and it being unbearingly hot. None of that is an appealing recipe for me, but I am going with a group of my favorite girls so, I am hoping for the best. I don’t want to be a Debbie downer so I’m putting on a happy face and attempting to go in open minded.

Coachella fashion leans toward boho chic which is not really me. So what do you do when you are going to Coachella but tie dye and flower crowns aren’t your thing? You can either dress the part, or you create an outfit that is event appropriate but still true to your style! I haven’t decided exactly what I’m wearing yet but I created this outfit option to show that you don’t have to conform to look cute. This outfit is easy, breezy and perfect for being outside because it’s comfortable and the fabric drapes so it won’t stick to me in the heat. I can easily throw a bikini on under it for the pool parties (where you will most likely find me) and the sandals ensure my feet aren’t hurting from a long day. I added a neon bag to give it a little interest and a butterfly cuff and braid stick to the Coachella theme. The desert temps drop when the sun goes down so I also added a denim jacket.

I will be Instagramming from the road so follow me to find out how it goes!
