Another lightening fast weekend (aren’t they all?) but this time I managed to step away from my computer a little to spend some time with friends. I always find that having those small pockets of time, whether it be lunch, grabbing a coffee or having some wine, chatting with girlfriends leaves me feeling recharged and ready to get back to work. Some of my favorite times are those casual moments that don’t require much effort and I find the same goes for outfits.
I wore this on Saturday to lunch. I brought just enough fall to the look incorporating the navy and merlot shades and layering this light blazer with stripes over a basic white tee. This seems to be the outfit formula as of late: light layers + denim + booties. Adding stripes to a look always creates a chic sophistication, no matter how casual the look. Without the jacket it’s just a white tee and skinnies, but with it, this look is a bit more dressed up, even with flat booties. I also brought out my favorite handbag which was a gift from my bf a few years ago. I rarely use it these days I think because when I got it I used it everyday for like a year. But for this outfit it seemed to be perfect and was nice taking her out to play. Later in the evening I swapped out the jacket for a moto and went to have a casual wine date with a friend.
Hope you guys had a great weekend and have an even better week!

XO,
Love that bag. I’m a longtime reader and I remember when you got that bag. I’m the same way with my purses; I carried my Michael Kors Devon bag for a solid year before switching recently to a new red MK Dillon that I got my hands on last week. I hope to one day add a Balenciaga to my collection!

I tend to do that when I have a bag I love. I carry it until I'm so sick of seeing it I don't want to carry it any more! I'm really trying to be better at that because a bag like this is suppose to be timeless and something you have forever. Also, I just want to say, it makes me feel very lucky that you have been a long time reader. When you mentioned BBFF I was floored! Thank you so much for sticking with me for so long, it means the world to me!! xox
You’re one of the few bloggers I read who writes about her life and doesn’t come across as really self-absorbed and self-important…more than I can say for a lot of bloggers who write about their lives, but you manage it!
