During the warmer months wearing a face of full coverage makeup is impractical. When it gets hot, it will melt right off so to combat that, it’s best to adjust to lighter textures. Sometimes it’s hard to let go of our favorite products but here are a few things I’ve recently been introduced to that I like for starting the transition process.
1. Pati Dubroff Smokey Eye Palette: I really loved the colors in this palette. They are slightly different from anything I have and though they are pigmented, it doesn’t look really heavy. These are great for creating a spring colored smokey eye.
2. The Lacquer Cabinet by Nailtini: These innovative polish collections come in colors that are easily mixable so you can create new shades. Each month you a limited edition collection curated by top nail and beauty experts. There are 2 empty bottles that come with it for you to mix and match new colors or you can apply the colors as they come. Such a cute and fun idea!
3. Coola Tinted Moisturizers: I am usually a full coverage kind of girl, but during the warmer months it’s just too heavy. It’s at about this time of year I start to go on a hunt for a lighter foundation that will give me coverage but not feel caked. These definitely do the trick. They are light as air, but do provide coverage. Bonus: They have spf 20 or spf 30 so they provide great protection from the sun!
4. Pati Dubroff Neutral Gloss Collection: These glosses are really great for running around town, particularly during the day, when you don’t want to look too made up. Wear them alone or blend the colors for desired shade.
5. Bare Love Lips: I don’t know about you, but when the weather changes, my lips tend to suffer. This stuff is great to add moisture and it also slightly plumpens. I put it on while I’m doing the rest of my make up and by the time I’m done my lips are nice and hydrated and ready to add my lipstick.
If you have questions about any of these makeup products or tried them and want to give your own feedback, feel free to comment below or give me a shout via Email, instagram or twitter.
I’d also love to hear about any makeup you guys are loving for the warmer months!
