Fall Fashion Challenge

When I was asked to participate in the Beverly Center’s “Show Us Your Style” Challenge, I hesitated and thought ‘Am I truly in a fall state of mind yet?’ The answer was no, but I reminded myself that is why it is called a ‘challenge’ and who am I to turn it down (especially when it involves my favorite fashion season!)

The guidelines were as follows: Keep it on trend for fall, under $250 in purchases from the Beverly Center and use 2 accessories from my own closet to complete the look.

I started by brainstorming fall trends, but eventually I just decided to head over to the Beverly Center and see if I had an ‘a-ha’ moment. I knew I wanted to take things back to my east coast roots and find a look that symbolized a fresh start, which is exactly what fall has always felt like to me.

During my visit I popped into lots of stores, but nothing was really getting me excited…that is until I laid eyes on this Nine West blazer and pant plaid suit in Macy’s. I mean can you blame me?!

It was perfect for what I was going for, east coast viibe, on trend (Gigi Hadid was spotted wearing this one) and it got me really excited about fall! It is actually sold as separates which is great. You can mix and match with other items in your wardrobe which makes it practical.
