Oscar Party

When I woke up on Sunday and saw it was still raining (3 days in a row in LA is a lot!) I was a bit disappointed. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a rainy Sunday morning, particularly when I have no where to be. It rarely rains here and so when it does, I kind of enjoy it. But this was Oscar Sunday and I had a Oscar party to attend. Rain in this situation is not cool. Luckily it did stop, but the clouds loomed and the day stayed gray. I wasn’t complaining though, as long as I didn’t get my hair wet, I was happy! That being said, I really didn’t feel like putting on a fancy dress so I opted for this outfit. I was a bit weary I would look too casual wearing leather leggings and I will say, I was the only person with pants on but I ended up being happy with my choice. The sequin top glammed it out and I wore booties to combat the puddles. I think one part of being a fashion insider is figuring out ways to be fashionable in any situation. I’m here to tell you, it’s ok to wear pants to a cocktail party as long as you make it work with the occasion and rock it with confidence!
