If I had to sum up my style in one ootd, this would be it: strong shoulder blazer, basic tee, destroyed denim, statement necklace and of course, a splash of leopard. Perfect. There is glam, there is edge, there is comfort, there is me! I would probably wear some version of this outfit every day if I could get away with it. I need to take a moment to talk about these jeans. These were given to me by a friend of mine who is half as tall as me and half my size. They were pretty much boyfriend jeans on her, but on me they fit snug and the hemline is perfectly on trend right now. I was looking for a pair like this and figuring I would take scissors to the hem, but with these it wasn’t necessary. I am wearing the heck out of them right now so you will be seeing them in a lot of ootd posts.
I saw something on instagram that sort of struck a cord with me that I thought I’d share. If you are not familiar with Design Love Fest by Bri Emery, it is a favorite of mine for it’s upbeat, colorful and fun vibe. It’s one of those blogs that you just can’t help but get in a good mood when you read. This week Bri posted a note on instagram that couldn’t be more true: “People often think because of the way your life appears on the internet, that things are perfect for some. couldn’t be further from the truth. we all go through struggles and hard times. we all get our feelings hurt and don’t want to get out of bed. life is weird and takes us on a wild ride. you should never compare what you see online, because frankly you just don’t know the whole story.”
I have my own struggles and things I’m going through that I don’t talk about here because I want to keep this a place of happiness. I do share parts of my life with you but I try to keep it positive. That doesn’t mean my life’s a bed of roses. So no matter what you are going through, just know that the struggle is real, and we’re all there with you.
Ok enough deep thoughts for one day! Have a great weekend!!
