When I was a kid, purple was my favorite color. My room was painted lavender, my blankets were purple and anything and everything I asked for had to be purple. I’m not sure when my infatuation with the color purple ended but this pencil skirt/sweatshirt combo reminds me of those days when I was obsessed. The most interesting part of that is that I no longer have a standard favorite color. Recently someone asked me what my favorite color was and I responded with “Depends what it is.” It was then that I realized I really don’t have one. The answer is different depending on what we’re talking about, be it clothing, home decor, nail polish, lipstick… It can also depend on the time of year it is, a holiday, a mood or even the weather (I am not a huge fan of yellow except during spring, when I love a good pastel yellow dress!) It’s funny how we change and grow and constantly learn different things about ourselves. Do you guys have a favorite color?
This ootd is a great transitional look combining the sweatshirt and booties with a skirt but adding in some white and pastel. I picked up the skirt at Crossroads and it’s one of my favorite pencil skirts. I’ve had it forever, it’s super versatile which means I can dress is up for going out and down for running around. This outfit was sort of a combo, I had some meetings and photoshoots but I also had some errands so I changed into my leopard slip ons I also wore here. (Speaking of obsessed.)
