One Maxi Dress Two Ways: Brunch

I am just starting to finally get caught up with things after a bit of a lull in productivity. It feels good to check things off my to do list! My bf is out of town at the moment which gives me an excuse to get some things done that have been on the back burner. I finally got around to giving my side table a DIY makeover with a coat of paint (did you know there are about 1000 shades of white?!) I also went a little crazy at Homegoods and got a few things I have been coveting for awhile. I also organized, cleaned (what I call the purge – just getting rid of crap I don’t need) and my house is really coming together nicely. There is something about home shopping/styling/organizing that is so therapeutic. I will share pics soon!

On to the outfit deets. This maxi dress is one of my favorites at the moment. I’ve found it appropriate for so many occasions already this summer. I wanted to show how versatile it is so I decided to style it for you two ways. Nothing too complicated but little changes that make it appropriate for completely different occasions. Here I am styling it for a weekend brunch. The material of the maxi dress gives it a dressy vibe, so I added a denim jacket to keep things casual. I added my favorite chunky gold watch, some flat sandals and my go to crossbody bag as of late. I didn’t wear mine here but a panama hat would be a nice touch.
