One Lounge Nook Two Ways

My first year in college I lived off campus in an apartment that had the most amazing window seat. I lounged on it every chance I got flipping through magazines, sipping coffee and taking in the sunshine. I often think about that spot and have always wanted to recreate it and now that I have moved into a bigger apartment, it was the perfect opportunity. Since I am renting I can’t exactly build a window seat, but I wanted to create that sort of vibe and this room gets amazing light so it worked perfectly.

In case you’ve missed it on Instagram, I’ve been dropping hints using #GLProjectMove. I’ve been showing sneak peaks of different rooms in the house and the fun continues with this lounge nook.

I teamed up with hayneedle.com to create the foundation with a beautiful printed bench which was love at first sight! Not only is the print to die for, but it also has storage inside. I wanted to be able to use lots of pillows to really cozy it up and these diamond printed pillows add a bit of navy to the mix. The fur blanket brings in some texture and is perfect for curling up with a cup of coffee and a good book.

Since we all have different moods, I decided to style two options;  a zen neutral color story and one with a pop of vibrant raspberry. Literally with a swap of two pillows the entire vibe changes.

I can’t decide which one I like more. What do you guys think?
