My obsession with mascara is no secret. It’s one of those beauty items I am very particular about because I don’t like to wear false lashes. The type of mascara you use can make the difference between looking like you have false lashes and, well not. That is not to say I never wear false lashes, once in a blue moon I do, but if I have my preference it is to use really great mascara and go without the falsies.

Apparently most people apply their mascara after they do their eye makeup, but I actually start the process before. It allows me to really get a lot of product on the lash and get really deep into the root without worrying about messing up the rest of my makeup.
I was at an event recently and I was getting my makeup done and the makeup artist thought I had false lashes on when I didn’t. I actually get that quite a lot. She asked me what mascara I used and we got to talking about my technique and she basically told me she had never heard of that and would love to see how I do it. So here it is, a tutorial on how I do my mascara!
The 2 mascaras I used in the video are below along with a few others that are among my absolute favorites and in my current rotation. I also talked about one of my favorites awhile back in this post.
