Today I am kicking off a new beauty feature called ‘Love It or Leave It’ where I am going to give you full reviews of beauty products to let you know whether I think you will love it or you should leave it. I hope this will be a way to give you more details about certain items and talk about things you want to know about before you go out and spend your hard earned money.
For this one, I am kicking off an at home laser hair removal journey I am beginning with Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X. I haven’t started it yet, so this isn’t a full review, however this will be a series of post over the next 3 months talking about progress with this device. It is definitely an investment item so if you want to know if it really works before you make the splurge, I’m going to tell it to you straight!
So some details on the Tria Hair removal Laser 4X – first off, in order to do laser hair removal you have to have lighter skin with darker hair. The reason for this is the laser is absorbed by the darker colors and if your skin is too dark, it will absorb too much of the laser and burn you. On the same token if you have blond hair, the laser won’t find it and just zap your skin. So to be an ideal candidate, you have to have fair to medium pigmented skin and brown to black hair.
The next thing to know is it is meant to be used every two weeks for 3 months. After that, (allegedly) you will have no more hair growth. Really?! I mean I don’t know about you, but I am dying to know if this really works. No more waxing or shaving? Sign me up! I’ve always wanted to do laser hair removal, however, buying sessions at a clinic or medispa can be very pricey. Then you have to make an appointment and take the time. With Tria, you can do it at home and that’s what I am really looking forward to.
So the areas I am planning to treat are my legs, under arms, bikini line and upper lip. Oh yeah, I’m going for it! So stay tuned and I will check in and let you know how it’s going, what I think and details on how it works. In the meantime let me know if there are any questions you want me to answer for you.
Cheers to a hairless summer!
XO,
