With Thanksgiving a few days away I thought it was a perfect time to pull out this beautiful cranberry wrap skirt by Reiss, that has been sitting in my closet since last year. It is one of my favorite pieces and it is finally the right temperature and occasion to let it have it’s moment.
I’ve been seeing this style everywhere lately, however, this particular version was from last year, but here is the current version Reiss has for this season. (Still gorgeous)
Ironically, last Thanksgiving, I styled this same skirt so I thought, why not give you another option, this time adding layers rather than a chunky knit.
I’m also absolutely obsessed with this color combination. I love them both separately, but together…so good.
Oh and before I forget, Black Friday is in a few days, and we will have lots of sales with promo codes and links posted on Twitter and Facebook, so make sure you are following to be in the know.
You can also get a jumpstart with Shopbop who is having an early bird sale starting today 11/22 until 11/28 at 11:59 PST. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the flyer with more details!
Keep the Top Bright
Since the skirt is a dark tone, keeping your top bright will balance the look and make it day appropriate and a great option for Thanksgiving. Last year I wore a cream sweater, this time I opted for a printed blouse in a similar color family.
Matching Bag and Shoes
I tend to do this more often than not. If my shoes and bag match, I feel like it brings a cohesiveness to a look. Last year I went with black and this year I kept them in cranberry tones. (Can we talk about how amazing this bag is?!)
Gold Accents
The buckle on the skirt is gold, so I like to use gold accents to play off it. This chunky cuff is one of my all time favorites as are the aviators. I’m also having a moment with giant hoops thanks to Khloe Kardashian.
Add a Layer in a Contrasting Color
I’ve recently been introduced to American Vintage, and if you guys aren’t familiar, you HAVE to check them out. European minimalism at it’s best and the quality of the pieces are top notch. This trench coat is a dream and it just seemed like the perfect cherry on the top of this outfit, wouldn’t you agree?
