When I think Oscars, I think classic. My favorite red carpet looks always tend to have an old Hollywood vibe. So when Bailey’s asked me to team up to talk about the Ultimate Oscars party, I knew a classic was the way to go. If I were throwing an Oscar’s party, one of the most important decisions, would be what to wear! (Duh!)
There is nothing more classic than an LBD and I decided to pair this one with a fur jacket and some sparkle earrings. To really channel that old Hollywood feel I went with bright red lip. I decided to go cocktail length dress because if I were throwing an Oscar party, I would want to be able to move with ease. (As it turns out this year I am going to a party so stay tuned for that outfit!) As for the shoes, these remind me of that line from 27 Dresses when they’re talking about the bridesmaids dresses “the best thing is I can shorten it and wear it again!” and Katherine Heigl says “definitely so true!” We all know that’s a load of crap, but with these shoes, it turns out to be true. I wore these last year in my brother’s wedding and they were so comfy I decided to keep them. They are perfect for this Oscar Party look, if I do say so myself!
Of course no Oscar party is complete without a signature cocktail, and this Bailey’s recipe is perfect for keeping an old Hollywood theme. You can add some fabulous to your evening with this decadent blend of Baileys Vanilla Cinnamon and pure gold leaf.
Glamour Shot
Ingredients
- 1 oz. Baileys® Vanilla Cinnamon
- 0.5 oz. Goldschlager® Cinnamon Schnapps Edible gold flakes (Optional – found at most baking stores)
Directions
- Rim shot glass with gold flakes. Mix ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a shot glass
