I’ve been told a time or two that I’m a bit of a perfectionist. I think there is definitely some truth to that. As a blogger, that comes into play with my photos and my content. I try to keep bringing better and better stuff to you guys in hopes of giving you outfit inspiration and a welcomed break in your day.
So you can imagine my horror, when I loaded these pictures onto my computer and saw this huge trash bin behind me…in EVERY shot! (How could it not be, it’s HUGE!) Now had my photographer Patti shot these, she would’ve have never allowed that (trash cans are literally her pet peeve) but seeing as I had my bf do it as I was running out the door (he’s been taking my pictures a lot lately) he didn’t realize it was a big deal. Totally not his fault…but he IS dealing with a perfectionist after all.
So needless to say, I hemmed and hawed over whether or not I was going to post these photos. But I ended up deciding to and here’s why: life is not perfect. It is full of lots of imperfections.
All too often I see fellow bloggers try to create this illusion that everything is pretty and perfect ALL the time. Well guess what? It’s not! And trying to make it that way almost creates a divide with the very people we’re talking to – YOU. None of us are perfect, no situation is perfect, life isn’t perfect – for me or for you. So here is my cute outfit with the not so cute huge eyesore of a trash bin behind me. You’ll probably never see something this horrific in my photos every again, so enjoy!
