Don’t you hate it when you absolutely love a particular beauty product and one day you find out it’s been discontinued? This has happened to me on more than one occasion (usually MAC is the culprit) and last week it happened to me again. There I was in the pharmacy going to pick up a tube of the same lip gloss I have used for over 10 years and (gasp!) it wasn’t there!!!

At first I thought maybe it was b/c I was in DC and not LA but alas…it seems to have disappeared into thin air!! I have used Loreal Color Juice Lip gloss in sheer over my lipstick through the years even though I get most of my other make up at Sephora or MAC. There just never was a sheer gloss that for $9 could stand up to it. There is a very specific stickiness to it that adheres to your lips, but isn’t obnoxiously sticking to your hair….

But now that it’s gone (WHY?!?!?) what will I do??
So after going into panic, I rushed into Sephora and scoured every aisle trying every clear gloss I could get my hands on. All were SHIT…and then…I ended up in the Make Up Forever section. I have had pretty good luck with every one of their products I have tried and their Glossy Full Vinyl lip gloss was definitely no different.

The consistency is slightly thinner than I am used to, however this stuff has staying power, which is important to me. The crappy thing is that it’s $20!! Which is $13 more than I am used to paying for a tube of gloss, however I have found that you need very little per application and so I think it may take me further than my other tubes. I am still on tube one though so we shall see!
I also found that they make them in colors too. I haven’t tried them yet, but I definitely intend to. If any of you have, please weigh in!!
