A little fun fact about me is that my eyes have changed color twice in my life. It’s a strange thing. Like most babies they were blue but unlike most babies mine didn’t change until I was 3. I went through my childhood thinking I had brown eyes and when I was around 19 they changed color again. I’m not sure if this has ever happened to anyone else, but I am told it’s not typical. They became such an odd color – sometimes the color of honey and sometimes green, I wasn’t sure what to call them, so I began classifying them as hazel. This isn’t a bad thing, however, I often got compliments on them and who doesn’t love that?! I have also never had the desire to get colored contacts to change them.
When I was asked to try the new 1- Day Acuvue Define contact lenses I was hesitant. My first thought was “Are they colored contacts?” I didn’t want to have purple eyes and honestly I have always thought colored contacts looked so unnatural.
The answer is no. They are not colored contacts and they are pretty awesome.
I wear contacts for distance so I went to visit the eye doctor to get an eye exam and fitted for the 1 -Day Acuvue Define in Natural Sparkle. The idea is that they just slightly enhance your natural eye by adding a subtle sparkle to them. There are two other versions, Natural Shimmer and Natural Shine and each put on a different eye color will do something slightly different. The provide definition to your Limbus or the place where the color part of your eyes meets the white. The makers of Acuvue say that clinical studies have shown that a more defined limbal ring makes people view you as more attractive and lively. Really? Ok now I was intrigued. (If you want to see a quick video about them you can go here)
Though they make them with and without vision correction, since I wear contacts for distance I wanted to order them with my prescription. When they came in the mail and I opened the package I saw that they have a tint to them. This is the part that helps to define your natural eye.
So what’s the verdict?
In the first pic below I have one contact in and one contact out so you can see the comparison. I noticed for me they brought the green out but overall I think they definitely added some sparkle. The second photo I am wearing the lenses in both eyes.
What do you guys think? Personally I’m having a lot of fun with them because who doesn’t want to be more attractive and lively am I right?
XO,

Thanks Babe!
The sparkle is definitely subtle, but I think you have beautiful eyes with or without the contacts!

I’m SO excited I found you! I have nearly identical-colored eyes and just discovered this brand. I was wary to order and almost went with the box marketed toward hazel eyes, but thanks to your awesome review, I’m going with the sparkle ? Thank you so much! And can’t wait to check out your whole site!!!
I heard sparkle was discontinued. True??
