It’s a new year and that means making changes. I talked a little about some goals I have for this year which include finishing my Master’s and traveling. But I wanted to talk a little about my blog.
This past fall, my blog turned 4. Yes….4! As I look back at old posts, I see how far I have come and how much it has evolved and changed over the years. I went through periods of being very open with you, and periods of not really talking about my personal life. I think when you go through struggles it gets tricky when deciding what you want to share on the internet. But since we’ve been friends for 4 years now, I feel like I can be more candid and that is something I intend to do this year. I am planning to add new content that will incorporate more of my life and try to be a more open book.
The problem with being in grad school, particularly when you want to do it all, is you can’t. It takes up SO MUCH time. And not to toot my own horn, but I have a 4.0 GPA that I’ve worked really hard for and I have no intentions of screwing that up. That’s why for a while last year I was only posting a few times a week and part of why I was talking strictly about the fashion, and not so much about me. Also The Wear to go Girls, my other site, is feeling the brunt of my grad school life. Sometimes you need to realize you can’t do it all and well, a blog, a website, a job, friends, a boyfriend AND grad school is A LOT. I am the type of person that takes it all on, and well, that stress has been weighing on my health.
So to wrap things up, basically I am going to be easier on myself this year (while still trying to do it all of course – hey it’s who I am!) but try to be more open about my life and use that to bring you more content. If there is anything you want to see or know please, as always feel free to reach out. I love hearing from you and I always respond!
I feel like this is going to be a big year for me and I definitely want you to be a part of it! Thank you for following a long, both here and at The Wear to go Girls. It means so much!
xoxo
Thanks for your honesty, is so nice to lear I'm not the only one wearing several hats at once! I can totally understand what's like to do it all at the same time, and always wanting more time to do more, I wish you the very best!
