So I went to Boston for a week. Saw the family, friends, helped take care of my 2 year old nephew. I had fun but it’s always bitter sweet. I love going home periodically but thankfully I get to leave.
Sticking to fashion as the topic, for some reason the city of Boston is a little behind. (perhaps we should stage an intervention?)
I went out to a bar with a few girlfriends to watch the Bruins game (that’s hockey for all you non-sports lovers and it’s the playoffs so in Boston that’s a pretty big deal.) I had on my American Apparel turband, white tee, black jeans, denim jacket and my cut out wedge/pumps (see above pic) Apparently the turband hasn’t hit Boston yet and is still considered fashion forward because my friends could not figure out ‘What the heck’ was on my head and said I looked like ‘Aunt Jamima.’ Hilarious.
Although most people were drooling over these I still got my balls busted over how high they are…
A trip highlight was having lunch with one of my readers. I had never met Anna but she is married to someone I went to grade school with (crazy right?) So sweet and yet another thing to add to the list of why I love blogging 🙂
Sometimes people still ask when I’m moving back (I’ve been gone 9 years…I think its fairly obvious) The only thing is…now I have a nephew. And he’s 2. And he’s awesome. And I’m kind of in love…
