Beauty // Get the Makeup Look: Pastels

makeup

I talked about some great transitional makeup products this week as part of my spring beauty must have series. I thought it fitting to bring you a spring beauty look I wore on a recent photoshoot. Spring is the perfect time to play with lighter shades and I love pastels because they really brighten things up! There are of course lots of ways you can create this look, but here are a few products I used.

  • NYX Butter Gloss in Merengue: I have a serious obsession with pink gloss. I have all different shades and it’s definitely a go to color for me. Though I am picky about texture I love this Butter Gloss, because it goes on so creamy yet it’s super pigmented. I even wear it over lipstick!
  • Pati Dubroff Spotlight Palette: I talked about this palette recently in Part 2 of my spring beauty must haves. This is one of many looks I’ve been playing around with. I also created a mauve smokey eye that I’ll be showing you soon!
  •  IT Cosmetics Creme Highlighter: I received this product in a gift bag and was pleasantly surprised with how much I loved it. It has a super wattage glow and stays put. I apply to the tops of my cheekbones, bridge of my nose and cupids bow.
  • Lancome ArtLiner in Noir: I prefer liquid liner over a pencil 9 times out of 10 and I’ve been obsessed with this liner since I was introduced to it last fall. Though liquid can be tricky if you don’t have a steady hand, this one draws the perfect liquid line every time.

If you try this look or any of these products I’d love to know what you think and if there are other products you use please share! Comment below, email, instagram or tweet at me!
