You ever style an outfit and realize the concept is much better than the reality? Well that’s this outfit in a nutshell. I feel like it looked better lying on my bed than it did when I put it on. One rule when styling, is to always take pictures of an outfit once it’s on so you can get a true sense of how it really looks. Often times this is done with celebrities to prevent wardrobe malfunctions on the red carpet, but i think it is of value to anyone. You can see details much better in a photo and you may find, much like I did, that it looked better in your head than on your body. Nevertheless, I am sharing it anyway, if for no other reason than to say, sometimes as a style blogger, you try things and they don’t work. Sometimes we get it wrong. This outfit isn’t wrong necessarily, but it’s not my favorite either. Ah well, part of the fun of fashion is making mistakes and learning from them!
On another note, it’s back to school time for me today! Now normally I would complain but since I am really enjoying school, I won’t. It’s funny because going to grad school is such a different experience than undergrad. Grad school is more focused on a topic that I’m interested in as opposed to something I dread (um, yeah I’m talking about you statistics!) I also think being (ahem) a bit older, helps because I really appreciate the school experience much more than I used to. At any rate bear with me for another roller coaster ride, though things will more than likely get hectic, I have some exciting things coming up that I will share as they happen.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
xoxo

Love that blazer, I'm so into burgundy I actually have the same shoes! I think the outfit looks great. Good luck on your first day of school!
