If you guys like fashion reality shows then you are going to love the new show B.O.R.N. to Style. The show is hilarious & inspirational and premieres Tuesday, 7/15 @10p EST, on FYI Network so you guys should definitely check it out.
B.O.R.N. (Which stands for borrowed, old, refurbished and new) is an eclectic boutique in Harlem and the show centers around their team of fierce, fashion-forward & fabulous stylists, as well as their larger than life boss Jonathan Bodrick. They provide fashion makeovers to people who desperately need color in their lives. The team, made up of stylists Brandon Hood, JJ Langan, makeup artist Kristen Brown, Store Manager Terry Artis and Assistant Devin Stokes, run the store all while adhering to the motto: ‘B.O.R.N. to Style: Your Makeover Needs a Makeover.’ The style superheroes rifle through their client’s belongings asking blunt questions getting to the root of their fashion slump, before whisking them away for a transformation that goes beyond just their look. In each episode, viewers will see them offer up their own brand of therapy.
If you haven’t heard of FYI Network, they describe themselves as “embracing an adventurous, personalized and non-prescriptive approach to peoples’ taste, space, look, story and more. FYI covers a range of stories and experiences that reflect how people actually live their lives today, not defined by just one passion or interest.” It’s honest and personal and I for one am really interested to see what cool shows they are cooking up for us. B.O.R.N. to Style is one I am definitely recording on my DVR! I’ve included a little teaser below for you guys to get a sneak peak.
