NYFW is still in full swing, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t feeling like an emotional cutter every time I look at Instagram. It’s been depressing seeing everything happening and not being able to be there. But seeing what’s in store for a/w 14 is kind of exciting.
It is all about the coat! I noticed Phillip Lim, Tibi, Rebecca Minkoff, Opening Ceremony, and countless others, are showing coats that are so special. That’s how I felt the minute I layed eyes on this coat last year. Picture it; I was at H&M, the spring/summer collections are just layed out on the floor and I spy the clearance rack. I sift graze over it real quick and see a hint of leopard poking through. (Moth to a flame…) When I grab the hanger and pull out this amazing piece and the tag reads: $30, I knew it had to be mine, spring/summer be damned! I never once regretted that buy, because I mean, why would I?? A leopard coat for $30 is not only a steal, but this coat looks expensive and that’s my favorite part!
So lets talk about this outfit. Leopard and leather are two things I never get tired of, and when they are together I feel like all is right in the world. This outfit was styled around my these leather leggings which are like second skin and I added this sequin tee (quickly becoming a fave) because it adds some glam. This bag is a new favorite given to me for my birthday from two of my blogger besties Melanee and Elizabeth. I loved the pop of color it gave to this and was perfect for dinner with my man. We ended up getting drinks at a boutique hotel nearby and although I was dressing for comfort, I felt dressed up enough to fit right in. Sometimes it’s all about the little details. Underneath it all, this is a basic tee paired with leggings. But add sequins, leather and leopard, and it’s a night out on the town!

Oh I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one feeling the blues about not being able to attend FW this year. On a happier note, that coat, adore it!
