We are in the throes of summer which means being anything less than a bronze goddess is pretty much unacceptable. The problem for a lot of us working girls, however, is making time to make it to the beach. This is why I can’t get enough of bronzing beauty products. They make keeping up that sun kissed glow appearance a breeze even while sitting at a desk. Inside. No where near the sun. Or the beach.
So here are my current five must have bronzing products that I am using on heavy rotation.
one – Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 week Tan Mousse: This is my all time favorite self tanner for several reasons. 1. The color pay off is amazing. It gives the most natural tan in one application. 2. It lasts. I’m not one who likes to apply tanner every other day and this stuff actually lasts one week after one application. If you apply two or three days in a row, it can last several weeks. And lastly it’s a mousse and just applies so easily and flawlessly I can slap it on in 10 minutes.
two – Vita Liberata passionflower & argan oil broad spectrum SPF 50: This stuff gives sunscreen a whole new meaning. On the odd chance I do get some time to make it to the beach (I’m heading there on Friday for some beach yoga…yaay!) I love using this oil. It not only acts as a powerful SPF to protect, but also helps nourish, fight photo-aging, and leave the skin soft and silky smooth with a serious healthy glow. So you don’t have to wait until after the day at the beach for the glow, you can arrive with one.
three – Bronze Buffer: Best. Invention. Ever. Seriously, I’m not sure what took so long for this to be invented, but it works. You know how you apply self tanner and it dries a few hours later and you notice you have streaks but it’s too late because it’s already set? Then you have to wait several days for the tanner to fade before it goes away and you’re walking around town with crazy tan streaks? Well this magic sponge takes care if it. Yes, seriously! All you do is wet the sponge and ring it out and gently rub the area that has the streaks and watch the magic happen.
four – Vita Liberata Trystal Self Tanning Bronzing Minerals: Are you detecting a pattern here? Ok so maybe I’m a bit addicted to Vita Liberata, but seriously they have the most amazing products that actually multi-task to make your skin better while tanning you at the same time and all without Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates, which is important to me. (And no I was NOT paid to say that!) This is a bronzing powder that also will tan you for up to 5 days. So um, yeah you can contour and keep it there? (mic drop)
five – Vita Liberata Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask: As if they didn’t already think of everything, they came up with a self tanning mask that you apply at night before bed, sleep with it on and wake up with a glow. The best part is, it acts a super moisturizing mask with anti aging benefits that actually improve the quality of your skin. The color is gradual and I’ve been using this every night to keep my face the same color as my body. I am in love.
