On a absolutely beautiful day in LA, I headed to The Langham Pasadena to have afternoon tea with the lovely girls from Shoplately. The Langham is a historical landmark that was once almost condemned but is now one of the most beautiful hotels in So Cal. I had never been before and I was in awe of how beautiful it was. The grounds are simply breathtaking, I highly recommend if you are in the area to stop by and check it out.
Having afternoon tea with girlfriends feels sophisticated, slightly British and so much fun. I love getting dressed in a feminine dress and playing the part. I chose this navy printed number mostly because I fell in love with the hemline. It ‘s so flattering and I can’t help feeling pretty in this silhouette.
I wanted to stick to a spring trend since that’s the theme these next few months, so I pulled out a striped blazer to mix prints. The problem was that it was such a beautiful day it was far too warm to have on layers but I included some pics below just so you could see. Mixed prints are very on trend right now and the key is in the color. Stick to similar color families and sure if one print is bold, the other one is more tame. My blazer is very muted and the stripes are very skinny, this way it’s not competing with the dress.
On another note, do you ever feel like you are in the calm before the storm? That’s how I have been feeling lately. I have so many big things on the horizon, that I can’t even wrap my head around how life is going to change. I am excited, I think change can be a good thing, but the unknown can also be pretty intimidating.
