7 Days with Tresemme

I will admit that I am blessed when it comes to my hair. It’s long and thick and all mine. However I am not a person who likes to ‘do’ my hair. I’m not sure if it’s because I am spoiled, lazy or it’s my jam packed schedule, but very rarely do I take time to do something special to it. This is one reason why I’ve been threatening to get bangs for several years but never actually pull the trigger. I’m told they are very high maintenance and I would have to attend to them daily. (Wimp! )

I will let you in on another secret, I don’t blow dry my hair. When I get out of the shower I apply product, comb it through and wait for it to air dry. Then if I have somewhere to go or I’m in the mood, I might throw a curling iron through it. When there’s really special occasion, I will get a blow out or have a stylist work their magic. (This is precisely why I enlist a stylist for my hair how to videos!) The one thing that does frustrate me is frizz. Air drying is a frizz maker for sure. It’s important to have good products to combat that and there are very few that last for any length of time. It is because of this that I teamed up with Tresemme to take their 7 day smooth challenge. Their new Keratin Smooth 7 Day Smooth Collection promises 7 days of frizz free hair.

I was really interested to see how these products would hold up with my busy schedule. Being a fashion insider requires me to constantly get my picture taken and frizz is just unacceptable! So what is the verdict? Well I snapped pics every day for 7 days so you could see for yourself, I’ll give you a hint: amazing!

Day 1: I washed my hair and I threw it in a braid because I had some meetings and I didn’t want to look a mess.

Glam latte_Collaborations_Tresemme   Day 6: I had a lot of running around to do and I wanted to be comfy so I decided on a sleek ponytail and I didn’t even need hair spray. Glam latte_Collaborations_Tresemme   Day 7: I washed and airdried. I didn’t have time to do anything to it as I had a meeting and a daytime fashion event. I can’t believe it stayed frizz free! I’m just curious; in what way are you a fashion insider? You write a fashion blog about yourself and the clothes you like, you go to grad school, and you have a fantastic sense of style, but what’s your job? Are you a stylist, runway model, print model, famous actress, or designer? Just trying to understand what you think makes you a fashion insider.

    I do love your blog!

A fashion insider is someone who is on the know in fashion. I attend events, go to various showrooms to preview collections, see what the coming season holds when I attend NYFW etc. and see most of it before the public does. A person with a successful fashion blog is sometimes referred to as a fashion insider because we are exposed to things first and that is what this company referred to me as and asked me to talk about. Yes I am a grad student, but being a blogger is actually a job believe it or not and there is quite a lot of work that goes into it behind the scenes. 🙂
