White denim is one of those things many people associate with summer, but I personally love a great pair any time of year. They are especially great during transitional periods like now, where it is technically fall, but still somewhat warm.

Here are two looks I styled with white denim to give you some options, but I also wanted to give you a few basic tips on how to wear them that you can implement with what you already have in your closet.

1. Dark Colors

White is such a light, airy color, so pairing it with darker hues is the first major way to wear them during not only transitional months, but also in the winter. A dark graphic tee or a dark tank are great pieces for layering but still feel like fall.

2. Edgy Prints

One of the great things about white denim is they are like a blank canvas. Anything and everything goes with them so the sky is the limit. For me, edgy prints are one of my favorite for easing into fall and this leopard coat is perfect. It’s light enough for warmer weather but still gives major fall vibes.

3. Texture

Mixing texture with lighter pieces will give you an instant fall look. Of course a leather moto is a closet staple, but fur works as well (faux of course!)

4. Accessories

When deciding on accessories for a transitional look, it’s all about balance. Pair with a bootie and a lighter bag, or a heavier bag with a sandal. I love the white Loeffler Randal bag because it has texture so it still feels appropriate for this time of year and goes great with the cut out bootie.

The studded bag is perfect for fall but also still goes well with these black chunky heeled sandals.
